ZA Puławy’s Supervisory Board Appoints the President of the Management Board

On March 28th 2006, the Supervisory Board of ZA Puławy selected a winner of the contest for the post of the President of the Company’s Management Board. The Supervisory Board resolved to appoint Ms Małgorzata Iwanejko to the post as of April 5th 2006.

Until then, Mr Marcin Buczkowski will continue to serve as the President. As of April 5th 2006, the ZA Puławy’s Management Board will be composed of three members: Małgorzata Iwanejko – President, Marcin Buczkowski – Member, and Mieczysław Wiejak – Member.

Małgorzata Iwanejko was employed at ZA Puławy in 1984-2002. Over this period she held a number of positions, including the position of the Head of the Sales Office, Marketing Director, and Trade Adviser to the Management Board. Since 2002, she has served as adviser to Nafta Polska S.A. of Warsaw. Ms Iwanejko holds a university degree in economics. She graduated from the Warsaw School of Planning and Statistics (now Warsaw School of Economics). Additionally, in 2003, she completed postgraduate MBA programme and received a Diploma in Management from the University of Central Lancashire in Preston, UK. She is fluent in English (LCCI Certificate) and has a good command of Russian and German.

ZA Puławy operates on three key product markets:

• Fertilisers for the agricultural sector (urea, ammonium nitrate, urea-ammonium nitrate solution, ammonium sulphate) – leading Polish and global producer
• Melamine (used in the production of synthetic resin which is applied in the furniture, paint and varnish market, as well as textile and paper sectors) – third largest producer in the world, the only producer in Poland
• Caprolactam (used for the production of textile and industrial fibres, carpeting and engineering resins used in automotive, electronic and food industries) – one of the two producers in Poland.
  ZA Puławy is the largest company in the fertilisers and chemical sector in Poland and an important producer in the world. Approximately half of its revenue is derived from the exports.
