DECLARATION
of participation in the Responsible Care Programme

Zakłady Azotowe Puławy SA hereby declare their voluntary participation in the Responsible Care Programme and undertake to act towards a consistent reduction of the Company’s negative impact upon the surrounding enviroment, and the improvement of industrial safety and health care for its employees as well as the local community. The Company undertakes to follow in its day-to-day operation the guidelines formulated and approved by the Polish Chamber of Chemical Industry.

Our activities wich are aimed at the reduction of adverse enviromental protection and industrial safety regulations utilising all available scientific, technical and organisational means.

Apart from Technical activities, we have maintained and shall continue to develop in future open communication with the local community and all parties interested in the impact of our Company upon the surrounding environment.

We belive that our participation in the Responsible Care Programme is an important step forward for our Company, and all our employers share responsibility for the practical realisation of this declaration.

On 18th December 1995 ZAP declared its willingness to join the Responsible Care Programme (worked out in 1984 by the Canadian Chemical Industry Association). It was based on a management system called "Total Quality Management" assuring high quality in all aspects of the Company's activity. Any company willing to join the programme is free to do it and basing on its own method aimed at reaching quickest and the most profitable purposes.
